HMS Beangle

Welcome aboard! We're sailing across North America in our Bean Stalker teardrop trailer. Come share our journey.

Things have been pretty quiet around here, but I’ve been under weather the last couple of weeks with the first cold either of us have had since we departed. We were probably long overdue for a bout of the yuck. I can’t complain. Into each life some tissues must fall.

So we arrived in Denver yesterday. Four states flew past in a blur. Not ideal, for sure. I got a short, easy run in after we arrived and can confirm that 6,000 ft is still much harder on the lungs than 1,800 ft!

We’ve already seen a few friends, found out that another friend just left for an overseas extended trip — she and I continue to have the worst timing! — ran some errands, and are just about to see some more friends tonight. Tomorrow is looking like much of the same. Oh my, wish us luck.

I have a feeling the next week is going to fly by, too. We’re not sure where we’re headed next, other than warm-ish and hopefully dry. Mother Nature will be determining a lot the rest of this year.

While none of our Wisconsin-Iowa-Kansas campgrounds were world renowned, a few pleasantly surprised us. We did a lot of one and two night stays, so we didn’t have time to become super familiar with any of them, but there were a few bright spots along the way. I’ll try to pass a bit of those along over the next few days. Until then, fingers crossed for good health and lots of your favorites in the Halloween stash this weekend.
